Workout information stays on your devices.
The app processes the treadmill speed and incline you enter, active duration, calculated distance, and available heart rate and active energy. Workout information is transferred directly between your paired Apple Watch and iPhone to mirror your active walk. We do not send workout information to a developer-operated server.
Settings, the latest recovery record and completed summary, and completed walk IDs are stored locally. The optional phone keeps the latest received summary for up to the next replacement or app removal. Recovery records are excluded from device backups. A Watch App Group shares only speed, calculated distance, timestamps and a locally derived usual walking time with the widget—not heart rate, calories or purchase status. Apple Health may synchronize data through Apple services according to your settings; Walkxr does not store health information in its own iCloud database.
Apple Health permissions
With your permission, the Watch uses a HealthKit indoor walking session. It reads live heart rate and active energy, writes manually calculated walking distance, and saves your completed walks — Free and Pro — when “Save walks automatically” is on. The workout session also keeps Walkxr on screen during your walk. Read access to existing workouts helps prevent duplicate saves. Permission requests explain these uses.
Apple Watch may still independently record sensor samples during an active session. Discarding a workout does not promise removal of every system-generated health sample. Walkxr never deletes Health samples written by other apps or Apple.
No accounts, ads, or health-data sales
We do not require an account, use advertising or analytics SDKs, sell health or personal information, or use health information to target advertising. We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or payment-card information, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Purchases and reminders
Apple processes purchases and manages subscriptions. Walkxr uses RevenueCat, Inc. as a service provider to check and restore Pro access. For that, the app sends RevenueCat a random app user ID created on your iPhone (not your name, email or Apple Account) and your Walkxr purchase history; RevenueCat does not receive health or workout data. RevenueCat’s privacy policy applies to its processing, and Apple’s privacy policy applies to its services. Optional walking reminders are local notifications; no remote notification service is operated by us.
Support and website visits
If you contact support by email, we receive your email address and the information you voluntarily send. We use it to answer your request, retain it only as needed for support or applicable recordkeeping, and do not use it for advertising. Please avoid sending sensitive health data.
The public site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). The hosting provider may process IP addresses, request times, URLs, and other ordinary technical logs to deliver and secure the website. Its privacy information is available at the host’s privacy policy. The site uses no advertising, analytics scripts or optional tracking cookies.
Your controls and deletion
Change Health access in the Health app or system settings. Turn reminders off in Walkxr or system settings. Discard the Watch summary to delete the app’s local recovery record; reset display preferences to remove customization. Uninstalling the app removes its local data. Workouts already saved to Apple Health remain until you remove them in Health.
Because we do not possess your workout records, we cannot retrieve or delete them from your Health store. For support correspondence or website information held by the operator or host, contact deanbrady.ny@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable law. You may have additional rights, including complaining to a relevant privacy authority.
Changes and scope
We will update this policy when our practices change. The effective date appears above. Walkxr is a general fitness app and is not marketed as a service for children. Availability and legal obligations depend on the territories selected for launch.
